CHILDREN dressed in vibrant blue and green to show their support for environmental conservation.
Pupils at Peover Superior Primary held a special celebration to mark Earth Day.
A tree was planted and each child donated £1 towards the cost of buying plants and trees to make the school and village greener and more sustainable.

Principal Joanne Munro said: “Earth Day served as a perfect platform to showcase our continuous efforts.
“This year, our school has placed a significant focus on sustainability and biodiversity.
“The tree planting ceremony at the school symbolises our ongoing efforts and our commitment to ensuring a greener, healthier future for generations to come.
“We are proud to be leading the way towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious community.”
Cheshire East Cllr Anthony Harrison and Steve Wheeldon, Aspire Education Trust assistant chief executive officer pledged their support for the children’s green initiative.
